Justin Gerner

Justin’s role at Falcon: Project Manager / Project Engineer

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be an engineer. However, I wanted to be a Star Fleet Engineer like Geordie LaForge or Scotty. It wasn’t until college that I decided to focus on Civil Engineering.

What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
I don’t know how weird it was, but I worked with the NC Department of History for a summer in college. I got to travel all over North Carolina to take pictures and gps locations of historical markers. It gave me the opportunity to see a lot of our State that I would never visit otherwise.

Where is your favorite place to be?
I’ve traveled to a few places around the US and, so far, I haven’t found any place better than the Triangle Area of North Carolina. Mountains and beaches are a couple hours away and no other city I’ve visited can compete with the quality and variety of food that we have.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life what would it be?
I don’t know if it counts as a meal, but I’m pretty sure I could eat Moon Pies every day.

What do you enjoy most about working at Falcon?
Falcon has a family atmosphere. I get to hang out with my friends every day.

“Justin’s knowledge and experience with construction materials testing and inspections makes him a great asset to Falcon and the projects we are involved in. In the years that Justin has been here, he has made a great impact on the CMT department, and Falcon as a whole. Justin’s patience and positive attitude is contagious. He is a great mentor to all of our Field Staff as well as Project Managers working in the CMT department. Additionally, many of our CMT clients request to work specifically with Justin. They enjoy his pleasant nature and unique personality. Justin has a knack for being able to diffuse stressful situations, and he is often the go-to person for our field staff and clients whenever technical issues arise on a project. It is a great pleasure to work with Justin on a daily basis.” -Patrick Clark, Construction Services Manager
