As part of its 25-year master plan, titled Vision 2040, RDU Airport is undertaking several redevelopment projects throughout its grounds, including a new, longer runway, new boarding gates, and a new rental car center in walking distance of the terminals, among other various improvements.
In May of 2017, Parsons, RDU’s Owner Representative, selected Falcon to provide Quality Assurance Testing Services in support of the airport’s improvements over the next five years. Some of the task orders obtained thus far include the Taxiway A (Alpha) Rehabilitation, the Taxiway F (Foxtrot) Rehabilitation, the Taxiway B (Bravo) Rehabilitation, the Runway 14-32 Rehabilitation, and the John Brantley Boulevard and
Cemetery Road Rehabilitations. Taxiway A and F are the two projects currently underway with the others starting as early as this summer and into the Spring of 2019.
