Falcon has been providing geotechnical engineering, CMT, and inspection services for Delta Airport Consultants at Roanoke Regional Airport for over five years. Specifically, the geotechnical engineering services have included evaluations of existing runway, taxiway, and apron pavement systems, in-situ testing of subgrades, and recommendations for subgrade improvement systems. Falcon conducted subsurface exploration, sampling, field and laboratory analysis and classification and stratification of samples. Falcon staff created an engineering report with geotechnical recommendations and for two storm water detention basins, storm water drainage systems and grading improvements to fillet areas. Falcon then performed extensive testing and inspection of P-152 excavation and embankment utilizing the sand cone density test procedure.
