Special Inspections
In 2003, NCSBC Chapter 17 Structural Tests and Special Inspections were formally enforced in North Carolina. These inspections are code required inspections that are intended to be redundant inspections over and above the designer performed observation. As the name Special Inspection implies, these are very specialized and detailed inspections performed by individuals with specialized education and training. Special Inspections differ from the jurisdictional inspections in that jurisdictional inspections are broader overarching inspections aimed primarily at general code compliance.
Falcon Engineering was founded specifically to provide its clients with full Quality Assurance inspections. Falcon specializes in all facets of building inspection from structural, geotechnical and waterproofing to mechanical, electrical and life safety.
