Christopher’s Role at Falcon: Environmental Services Manager

Where is your favorite place to be?
I enjoy spending time in remote or rural locations where I can focus on the natural world and all of its wonders.

What would you do for a career if you weren’t doing this?
If I were not a consultant, I would certainly be involved with a career that is connected to nature in some way (e.g. forester, wildlife management, research biologist, naturalist).

How do you define success?
Success can be defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. I aim to find satisfaction in my work by helping clients identify and avoid impacts to protected natural resources while still allowing their projects to move forward.

What are three career lessons you’ve learned so far?

  1. Get it in writing and don’t start until you do!
  2. Time is always of the essence.
  3. Run toward problems not away from them.

What do you enjoy most about working at Falcon?
I am impressed daily by Falcon’s organizational culture. Falcon offers a supportive, customer-focused environment full of helpful and friendly professionals. The culture allows our employees to soar to new heights.

“Christopher’s long-standing career and highly varied expertise in Environmental Consulting is not only valuable to the success of our Environmental Services Group, but the success of all Falcon operations. Christopher is very good at involving staff from all departments to masterfully complete an Environmental project. In turn, he is also a valuable asset to our Geotechnical and Testing Departments; often coming out on a job site at moments notice, and providing timely solutions, when he gets the phone call from our Client or Field Staff saying  ‘Hey Christopher, this dirt smells like gas…what do I do?’ Speaking of his diverse experience, Christopher also does a lot of work on our Geotechnical Investigation projects in his free time!” – Chris Norville, PE, Vice President
